Version Control Everything Agents Create.

one server (Mega2) + two clients (Libra · ScorpioFS)

Mega2 is an open-source monorepo engine and Git server built for the Agent era. Bring code, Agent sessions, large files, and container images together in one storage platform.

02 — CHALLENGES

Three core challenges in AI Agent engineering.

Agent-driven development brings new demands to engineering infrastructure: a global view of the codebase, frequent concurrent operations, and a durable record of the context behind every change.

PROBLEM 01

Global visibility

what the agent cannot see, it cannot respect

Agents reason over what they can reach. Split across repositories, cross-repo dependencies, ownership, and call chains stay invisible — so changes that look local can break something three repos away.

PROBLEM 02

High-concurrency operations

many agents, one repository, all at once

One engineer clones once; a fleet of agents creates workspaces continuously. Repeated full clones and file operations add storage and network overhead before useful work can begin.

PROBLEM 03

Session context

the reasoning never reaches the repo

A change lands as a diff. The intent, plan, tool calls, and validation behind it can stay in a chat window — leaving the next agent to reconstruct the context and reviewers to search for evidence.

03 — WHY MEGA2

Built for the Agent era.

A shared monorepo, accessible workspaces, and captured session context connect the tools agents use with the history teams need.

5 CORE CAPABILITIES

01

Git-compatible

Clone, fetch, pull, and push over Git Smart HTTP. SSH provides read-only access.

02

Trunk-based monorepo

A public main branch for monorepo paths, with separate ImportRepos for third-party code.

03

Agent Session Capture

An optional HTTP API for sessions, events, checkpoints, and transcript data.

04

Shared object storage

Git objects, LFS files, build artifacts, and OCI images on local or S3-compatible storage.

05

Agent-first

Use Mega2 with Libra and ScorpioFS for agent-oriented development.

Mega2SERVER · SOURCE OF TRUTH01 / 03

The single source of truth

Mega2 is the centralized storage and Git-hosting backend for your monorepo. Written in Rust, it connects Git objects, large files, artifacts, and optional Agent Session Capture.

  • Trunk-based: monorepo paths expose a single main
  • Git Smart HTTP + read-only SSH
  • Postgres metadata + local or S3-compatible objects

ScorpioFSCLIENT · VIRTUAL FS02 / 03

A workspace that mounts, not clones

ScorpioFS is a FUSE-based filesystem client for Mega monorepos. Mount remote repository paths as a local workspace so development tools and agents can browse the files they need.

  • Mount remote monorepo paths locally
  • FUSE integration for development tools
  • Access repository content on demand

Versioning the creation lifecycle — beyond code

Libra combines Git-compatible code history with external agent session capture. Session and checkpoint metadata, plus available redacted transcripts, preserve context alongside the repository.

  • Capture hooks for Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode
  • Inspect session and checkpoint history
  • Browse Mega2 with the Libra terminal interface
